  • This hike is for those travelers who want to experience the beauty of the Lycian Way without big heavy backpacks. All personal belongings and camping equipment will be transported by car. The trip lasts six days, includes four nights in a tent and one night in a hotel. During these days you will walk approximately 47 kilometers on foot, there will be transportation of approximately 350 kilometers by car.

Day 1 – Meeting in Fethiye

Arrival in Fethiye. We meet with the group, stay in a cozy hotel with a delicious breakfast. In the evening - a walk through the old town and feel the peaceful seaside atmosphere. Fethiye is a resort town with a rich Lycian history, a picturesque harbor, ancient tombs and cozy streets, surrounded by mountains and blue Mediterranean bays.

Day 2 – Kayaköy and the start of the hike

After breakfast, we drive to Kayaköy* – a once inhabited Greek town that has now become a “ghost town”. After passing the town, we will reach the village of Ovacik, where we will have lunch in a cafe. In the afternoon, we will start hiking along the Lycian Way – the road climbs to the slopes of Mount Babadag (1989 m), from where a magnificent view of the Oludeniz lagoon opens up. Overnight in the forest by a spring, near the village of Kirme. Kayaköy – an abandoned Greek village with empty stone houses, churches and narrow streets, which has preserved the spirit of the past and the memory of the tragedies of the 20th century. Transfer: 12 km On foot: 14 km Up: 800 m Down: 200 m 

Day 3 – Babadag Foothills, Faralya and Butterfly Valley

After breakfast, we head to the village of Kirme, where you can enjoy freshly squeezed orange and pomegranate juice. We continue along the narrow streets towards the village of Faralya*. We stop at the observation deck above the impressive Butterfly Valley, and after a short walk we set up camp for the night. Butterfly Valley is a secluded bay near Faralya, surrounded by high cliffs, famous for its waterfall, clean beach and many rare butterfly species in the summer. Walking: 9 km Descent: 400 m

Day 4 – The natural beauty of the seaside Kabak – Paradise Beach

Breakfast, preparation and we continue our journey. We stop at Aktaş Beach, where we swim, then continue our journey to the cozy village of Kabak with a picturesque bay - here we have lunch and rest. We continue along the coast to Paradise* Beach, where we will settle down for the night. We also take water in the village, because it is not always available on the beach. Paradise Beach is a secluded sandy beach with crystal clear water, surrounded by nature, accessible on foot or by boat, perfect for swimming and quiet relaxation. On foot: 12 km Up: 340 m Down: 520 m

Day 5 – Olive groves and Kalabantia Bay

After visiting another bay called Kalabantia* (an old Roman port), we ascend from the coast along the Roman road to the village of Boğaziçi, where we replenish our food supplies and stay near the village in an old olive grove on terraces. Kalabantia is a picturesque bay with the ruins of an ancient Roman port, a quiet place for yachting and swimming, surrounded by green hills and clear sea. On foot – 8 km Uphill – 640 m

Day 6 – Lycian Tombs and Farewell by the Sea

We head towards the sea – first we visit the ancient Lycian tombs*, climb to a small pass (750 m), have lunch in Bele Chorba and descend directly to the sea. We swim, rest. Transfer to the Kinyakas city bus station. Independent departure of the tour participants. Ancient Lycian tombs – burial places carved into the rocks, surprising with their craftsmanship and grandeur, preserving the culture and faith of the ancient Lycian civilization. On foot – 14 km Up – 300 m Down – 1000 m Transfer to the Kinyakas city bus station – 10 km

Where to arrive?

You need to fly to Antalya or Dalaman airport. Our journey begins in the city of Fethiye.

  • If you come to Antalya: after leaving the airport, go up the stairs to the tram. Here you need to buy Antalya Kart card and go to the bus station (Otogar). From there, take a bus to Fethiye - the journey takes about 5.5 hours. Once in the city, you can take a taxi or dolmus (minibus) to the meeting point.

  • If you arrive at Dalaman Airport: from here there is a direct bus to Fethiye (about 40 minutes drive). You can then take a dolmus to the hotel.

What additional costs will I incur?

Most of the basic expenses are already included in the tour price. You may need an additional €80-120 for souvenirs, cafes or small expenses. It is advisable to exchange money in advance, as cards are not accepted everywhere.

Route and requirements for participants

 

The hike takes place in mountainous areas, therefore:

  • will be mountain trails and canyons;

  • the roads are not the easiest, but they are definitely passable;

  • often occurs prickly plants, so it is advisable to go with high boots or trousers.

Required:

  • hiking experience or

  • normal physical shape.

If necessary, the route can be interrupted in the nearest village and headed to the coast.

Age limits: from 10 to 60 years old.
⚠️ Children under 18 can only participate if accompanied by an adult.

 

End of the hike

The trip ends in the village of Kinik. Transportation is organized to this place. From there, participants travel independently to Antalya or Dalaman Airport: the journey to Dalaman Airport takes a little over an hour, and to Antalya — about 5 hours.

We recommend staying in Turkey for 1-2 more days after the hike. In any case, it is advisable to buy return tickets for a later time, no earlier than 9:00 PM.

Sports insurance

Travel insurance with the option "Active Leisure" covers the treatment of injuries or illnesses that occur while engaging in sports or active activities that are usually not included in standard insurance. This can be skiing, jet skiing, motorcycling or mountaineering. Such protection helps to avoid high costs for medical care, transportation or other unforeseen situations related to active leisure.

Passport and visa

Lithuanian citizens do not need a visa to travel to Turkey, as there is a visa-free regime. When crossing the border, it is necessary to have a valid passport, the validity of which must be at least 150 days from the date of arrival.

Mobile communication and electricity

The Lycian Way (Likya Yolu) is one of the most famous hiking routes in Turkey. The path passes through mountains, canyons and the Mediterranean coast. Accommodation is mainly in tents, sometimes in campsites, where you can charge your phones.

Accommodation during the hike

  • The main accommodation is in tents in nature.

  • In some places we will stop at campsites where there will be electricity.

  • Along the way, we will stop at shops and cafes where you can also charge your devices. 

  • Mobile connection

    • The connection works almost along the entire route, except for some canyons.

    • International communication is expensive.

    • We recommend purchasing a local SIM card.

 

Power supply

The hike includes three meals a day:

  • hot breakfast and dinner;

  • for lunch — sandwiches.

Food is cooked on a gas stove or over a campfire.
⚠️ If you have dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance.

Insects
  • There are almost no ticks and mosquitoes.

  • Spiders and scorpions are very rare.

  • During all our hikes, no one had been bitten.

Tips:

  • check shoes before wearing them;

  • to pitch a tent;

  • don't just sleep on the grass.

Weather
  • In the spring: by the sea up to +20 °C during the day, about +10 °C at night; there may be snow in the mountains; when it gets cloudy — 5 °C cooler.

  • In autumn (from late September to late October): on a sunny day up to +25 °C, at night about +12 °C; when it rains — during the day +15 °C, at night +5 °C; on Mount Tahtali — about +3 °C.

Can I rent equipment on site?

On the hike On the Lycian Way (Likya Yolu) You will need basic camping equipment: tent, sleeping bag and camping mat.
If you don't have your own equipment or don't want to bring it, you can do it all yourself. rent from us locally.

Equipment rental prices for the entire duration of the hike:

  • 🏕️ Double tent – 25 €

  • 🛌 Sleeping bag – 15 €

  • 🌄 Tourist mat – 5 €

This way you can travel easier and more comfortably, as all the necessary equipment will already be prepared on site.
